Arsenal Football Club, an English Premier League football club, is apparently having a close watch on a promising young Nigerian talent, forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Gunners, with their long-time manager Arsene Wenger, have enjoyed a quite spectacular start to the new domestic campaign and currently sit top of the Premier League.
The clus has a strong tradition of recruiting the world’s top youth talent. There are strong indications that Wenger’s men are monitoring highly-rated starlet Iheanacho.
There’s no surprise that some of Europe’s top clubs have shown their interest in Iheanacho, following his eye-catching recent performance at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
In a crushing 6-1 triumph over Mexico earlier this month, Iheanacho netted a brace either side of half-time on his way to a stunning four-goal haul.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, despite fans’ fears of be another long season fraught with yet more trophy-less disappointment, kept their place at the summit of the English top-flight following a hard-fought 2-0 over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
